Valentine's Day!

We had a great Valentine's Day this year.  This is our second Valentine's that we've celebrated together but this one was a little better since we've been married rather than just starting to date each other like it was last year.  We headed up to Salt Lake City for Andrew's class and while we were driving up he surprised me that he was going to spend the day with me rather than going to class.  So we walked around Temple Square and all the visitor centers.  It was fun being there in the middle of the afternoon when no one else was there.  We then headed to Tucanos, you can never go wrong with Tucanos.  After our stomachs were filled to the max we headed to Energy Solutions Arena to see Lady Antebellum, Thompson Square, and Darius Rucker.  I was not a huge and crazy fan for any of these groups but after this concert I'm hooked.  The concert was a blast and we walked out having a headache and not being able to hear each other talk.  Andrew's favorite part of the night was when Darius Rucker was singing Southern State of Mind.  The song is how he is the same no matter what state he is traveling in.  During the song he was showing different places in Utah.  In the middle of the song a big BYU logo showed up on the screen and then followed by a Jazz logo.  It was crazy because they didn't show any other colleges.  Andrew was pretty happy that no Utah logo was shown.  Now of course Andrew is in LOVE with Darius Rucker.  haha It was a great night and the best part was that I got to spend it with Andrew.  I'm so grateful for him and the patience that he has with me.  He truly is perfect for me in every single way.  I love you Andrew!!!

FHE with Aunt Julie

On Monday we got to go to Salt Lake and tour the new Bishops Storehouse Central location with Andrew's aunt, Sister Beck.  We went with Andrew's family and brought Grandma Bangerter with us.  We actually got to have Aunt Julie give us the tour of the new location.  The building was incredible. It sits on 36 acres and is about 500,000 square feet.  It was so amazing to see this building and all that it provides for people in need.  I can't even describe how much food there was in this building.  They had a massive room for dry foods, then they had a fridge, and a freezer.  Each room felt like its own Costco, that is how big this place was.  The freezer was our favorite room.  The temperature is set to 10 degrees below zero and you could definitely tell.  The second you breathed in that room your nose hairs froze.  It actually felt like the winter we're suppose to be having..haha.  Another one of our favorite parts was the doors that automatically open when you walk by.  (Take a look at the video below) But our favorite part of course was to see how much the church helps those in need.  We're so grateful to be part of a church whose central purpose is to help people all over the world with any needs that they may have.

Every Love Story Is Beautiful, But Ours Is My Favorite!!

Today is our 6 month anniversary!!! Time sure does fly by.  It feels like yesterday was our first date rather than being married for 6 months.  In the last six months Andrew has gotten his internship, Caitlyn finally decided on a major, we celebrated our first christmas together, Caitlyn had her golden birthday, and many other wonderful things.  We're excited for the next 6 months and all the years after that.  Life is great and we're living it up.      

Andrew's Radio Debut

This Saturday Andrew made his "debut" on the Cougar Sports Saturday Radio Show.  It was the end of the show and they normally have a round table where they quickly discuss last minute sports topics before they close.  So, Alex Kirry had left the show early and Randolph Fairbairn asked Andrew to join the round table conversation with Jason Shepherd and Cleon Wall.  Andrew had a lot of fun doing it and said that radio is harder than it looks but also a lot of fun.  See for yourself how well he did.  Here is the sound clip from when he was on.  Scroll till there is only about 5:50 left and if the numbers don't show up, it's the length the tip of a pen. ( We had to tell this to Adam because numbers didn't show up on his computer :) )

Saturdays

Well its another Saturday and Andrew is gone for the day in Salt Lake doing his internship.  For his internship he helps produce the Cougar Sports Saturday show from noon till the pre-game show of the basketball game.  He then stays and produces/cuts highlights for the BYU basketball games. So he leaves at 11 am and most of the time does not get back until 11 pm.   Now that my Saturdays are open pretty much every week due to the fact that Andrew has to take the car, I now can keep up on laundry, a clean house, and homework...well I like to think I stay up to date on homework. :)  I also get to bum off my siblings to entertain me for the day.  A couple weeks ago my brother Tyler and sister-in-law Jody let me tag along with them to the Living Planet Aquarium in Draper.  It was fun to watch my niece run up to the glass and try talking to the fish.  She also calls everything a baby so she called every fish a baby.  The best part of the day was when she was screaming when we tried to leave the otter exhibit.  She loved those otters haha.  I would recommend going to the Aquarium.  It's not too expensive and a fun activity. Also, with all my spare time I spend most of it on Pinterest.  I have only made one thing from Pinterest so far with the help of Andrew, but I'm still dreaming of some projects that I want to get done.  I would recommend some recipes that they have there.  Andrew and I have made a few recipes that are keepers for us.  This pretty much sums up my Saturdays! It's nice to have a whole day to myself, but I still do miss Andrew during the day! :)
