When we have nothing to do on a Friday afternoon.

I was listening to my iTunes Radio the other day and this new song came on that I fell in love with. I turned it on whenever I was doing something around the house and danced. As I was doing this I would tell Andrew all about how I would make up dances when I was little. He then said show me and the video is proof of what happened next! The video is from our performance in front of the Garlick Cousins.

I seriously have the BEST husband in the world! 

Birth "Day" "Week" "Month"

It is a joke in my family that I celebrate my birthday all day, week, and month long. This year was no different. The day before my birthday we had a big family party for Lincoln's farewell but Andrew and his mom surprised me by having a cake. So I had the whole Garlick clan sing happy birthday to me the night before my birthday. The next morning I woke up to Andrew giving me breakfast in bed along with my gifts. That boy always knows how to surprise me!  I then met my mom for a full day of shopping. To top it all off we went to IHOP for lunch which is a tradition. I have always loved having breakfast food on my birthday and I can't think of a year where I didn't go to IHOP at some point during the day.To end the week my parents came down to Provo for the weekend. They treated me by buying cupcakes from The Sweet Tooth Fairy.

All throughout the day I received phone calls, texts, and Facebook messages wishing me a happy birthday and I'm so grateful to every person who called. I truly do have a lot of people in my life that care about me.

Second Christmas in St. George

After New Years we got to head to St. George to have a second Christmas with my family. It will probably be one of the last times that all of my family will be together for Christmas. We're heading to graduate school somewhere outside of Utah and my other brother is going to med school in Missouri. Even though it was way past Christmas we still did all of our family Christmas traditions. We opened up Christmas socks, sang/danced to 12 days of Christmas, and did English crackers/poppers for dinner. It was a fun Christmas because my parents decided to have a theme this year for our gifts. The theme was strengthening families with an underlying theme of Duck Dynasty! :) My unhealthy obsession with the Royal Family is nothing compared to my dad's obsession with Duck Dynasty....then again the Royal Family does not sell merchandise at Walmart. So while getting decked out in Ducky Dynasty gear we got a lot of great things to help strengthen our family as well as bringing back some old family traditions.

One of those traditions was shooting off rockets. I was too young to remember but I guess my dad and brothers would build rockets and then go and shoot them off. So we headed to the park and enjoyed shooting our rockets into the air. We only had a few moments where we thought we were going to hit the light posts. The little girls also got a new playhouse to play in. I watched all of my dreams that I wanted as a little girl to get a playhouse come true in my nieces eyes. It is a good thing that I love them so much! haha

Last but not least my niece Lucy is pretty cute. Especially when she sings Frozen! (It is blurry because I had to pull my phone out fast so I could capture the moment).

New Years

New Years this year was spent with the Garlick Cousins. Since we had a party we had to break out our chocolate fountain. It has kind of become a tradition for me and Andrew to do a chocolate fountain on New Years. The night was filled with playing Minute to Win it games. Andrew especially enjoyed the Elephant race. (See picture below) We also heard that day that Andrew's sister Claire is expecting in July! That means Andrew and I will get our first nephew on the King side in June and another niece or nephew on the Bangerter side in July. I seriously love watching both of our families grow and get new little additions.

2013 has been a great year for us:

- We went to Disneyland for my birthday.
-I finally got to join in on the NCAA March Madness fun.
-I graduated from BYU.
-Andrew completed two internships. One with Marcus & Milichap and the other with United Health Group.
-We had the Bangerter Family Reunion in Bear Lake
-We took a fun trip to Boston and become the parents of three little kids for 48 hours.
-I left my job at the Library that I loved so much.
-We celebrated our 2 year anniversary in Midway
-My brother Cam got married on Andrew's Golden Birthday.

These are just some of the highlights of our year but there are many more small important moments that happened during the year that we have grown from and made us who we are today. We are so grateful for each and every new day that 2014 has to offer to us whether they be difficult or easy, we know we can make it through because we have the gospel of Jesus Christ in our life. We're excited for a fresh start and hope that 2014 helps us be the kind of people that Heavenly Father has sent us here on this Earth to be and do what He wants us to do. My feelings of the new year are summed up perfectly in President Uchtdorf's message in the Ensign this month called The Best Time to Plant a Tree.

Christmas in AF

Christmas was with the Bangerter Family this year in AF. Adam and Lindsay joined us from Kansas with their three little girls.  We did so many things while we were in AF. We went on a modified "one horse open sleigh ride" with two ponies on Christmas Eve. Seth has been working on building a sleigh that the two ponies can pull in the winter. With the help of all the boys they finished just in time for Christmas Eve. It was pretty fun to be living the song Jingle Bells. Lindsay, Alina, and I made some snowmen which then turned into an igloo thanks to the boys.While we were building, our second snowball collapsed and kind of buried Page in the process. We had a good laugh. One really fun activity was going to visit Grandma Bangerter at her therapy.We sang Christmas carols with her around the piano and we even had a little crowd watching and some even joined in.

Christmas morning was a lot of fun and we are so blessed with two great families who spoil us. We're so grateful that our date nights are all planned out thanks to Mom and Dad Bangerter for getting us tickets to Hale Center Theater and a Pass of all Passes. We're also excited to start using our Family Home Evening board that Andrew's mom made for us. Andrew also spoiled me with gifts, that boy is really good about being sneaky!!! He added to my unhealthy obsession of the Royal Family by getting me a book about Kate and William. :)

We were so grateful for the Christmas Spirit that we felt the whole season. I love December and how most people celebrate the Savior's birth. We truly are grateful for our Savior and all that He has done for us and for His Atonement. We know that through Him we can have eternal families forever. Which  means we can continue to make fun memories with our families and our future family for a long time.

Bangerter Christmas Party in Idaho

To start off our Christmas Break we headed to Idaho for the Bangerter Family Christmas Party. Andrew's Uncle and Aunt live in Melba Idaho and were hosting the party. The trip was only suppose to take us six hours but we got stuck in a blizzard on the way up so it turned into eight hours. Even though it took us awhile to get there, it was a jammed pack weekend of dodgeball, swimming, homemade french fries from Idaho potatoes, making t-shirts, hunting coyotes, a catered dinner, and a surprise visit from Santa Claus himself. Even though it was a quick trip we had a lot of fun hanging out with 75 members of the Bangerter family.
