I finally got to see Wicked after waiting 7 months! It was really different than what I thought it was going to be. I didn't realize it would be so funny. The actors that played the main parts were seriously the most amazing actors I've ever seen. They were so good together and their voices were incredible. My eyes were glued to the stage the whole time. Thanks Mom & Dad King for such a wonderful birthday present in August!! :)

12 Hour St. George Trip
This past weekend we headed down to St. George for out last trip of the Summer. We were heading down to go to Tuacahn to see Aladdin. On our way down my dad's truck broke down in between Fillmore and Beaver. Two hours later the tow truck came and towed us to Beaver. After 5 hours in Beaver and the mechanic not really knowing what was wrong with the truck, my brother Bryce came and rescued us. He had to drive an hour just to come get us. We were SOO grateful to see him! A trip that should have taken 3 hours took us 12 hours. After that wonderful adventure we saw Aladdin on Friday night. This was probably my favorite play that we've ever seen at Tuacahn. It had 3-D parts, lots of fireworks, and the magic carpet flew over your head. The weekend went by really fast but it was a great way to end our Summer full of vacations. We were really lucky this year to get to go on a lot of vacations and have a relaxing Summer. We're not quite sure how next Summer will be since we don't know where we'll be going for an internship. We'll just have to wait and see!!
Waiting for the tow truck!
We played a lot of Skip-Bo during out time on the side of the road!
All trying to fit in the tiny tow truck!!
Andrew's legs were kind of all over the place!
My mom and I laughing so hard about how much fun this was!
The lovely diner that we ate at..don't worry they didn't take credit cards....haha
The mechanic had to close so we had to take all our stuff out of the truck and sit outside the store.
My dad likes to sit really close to the stage. So close that you can see the actors seat dripping from their faces.
My handsome husband waiting for the show to start! :)
ONE YEAR!!
On August 12th it was our one year anniversary. Since our anniversary was on a Sunday we decided to celebrate Friday and Saturday. So on Friday after work we headed up to Salt Lake. Instead of going straight to Salt Lake, we decided to go through Park City and do our school shopping at the outlets in Park City. After our shopping trip we headed to Little America for the night. The biggest adventure of our night was eating at Siegfrieds. It is a German restaurant in Salt Lake and Andrew was dying to eat some German food. It actually was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was fun to see Andrew reliving his mission and being so excited to eat the food. We had fun playing in the pool and just hanging out at the hotel. On Saturday we were getting ready to leave and Andrew told me to lean the seat back and put a towel over my head because I couldn't see where we were going next. After about ten minutes and feeling a little car sick we pulled up to Hogle Zoo. I had never been to Hogle Zoo and had been begging Andrew to take me. We also went to the San Diego Zoo on our honeymoon. I was really impressed with the zoo and we had a lot of fun. I'm so grateful for Andrew and the wonderful year that we've had together. I'm grateful for all that we've learned. I didn't think I could love him more than I did the day we got married. I have the best husband in the world!!
The view from our room.
Andrew was really wanted to buy lots of things in the German store but it was really expensive!
Andrew wanted to add that Cougars eat Utes every once in awhile.
Amazon Parrots. I was really excited to see something that I saw on my trip to the Amazon.

Mom and Dad King's 30th Anniversary
This year is my parent's 30th anniversary on August 10th. So as siblings we decided about 4 months ago we wanted to do something special. There were multiple planning sessions over google hangout on Sundays to figure out what we wanted to do. Finally we decided we wanted to make them a special dinner and a slideshow. There were a lot of details that went into planning but it all turned out great. Enjoy the pictures below!!
Bear Lake Round 3 (Nelson Family Reunion)
This past weekend we got to go to Bear Lake for the Nelson Family Reunion. This is my dad's side of the family. It was raspberry days so it was really crowded. They even closed the beach because it was so packed. Luckily, we knew it would be crowded so we went to the beach earlier in the morning. It was a great couple of days hanging out at the cabin. The highlight of the weekend was watching movies on a giant outdoor screen my brother Bryce brought. The other highlight of the week was Andrew and I experiencing what it will be like to be up all night with a baby. We got to sleep in the loft with Tyler and Jody and their 2 year old Lucy. Around 1 am Lucy decided she didn't want to sleep anymore. Let's just say she didn't fall asleep for good until around 3 am. So we were up for a good amount of the night. It was kind of fun to get to experience staying up with a little kid all night, but then again we're enjoying our sleep as most as we can right now!! :)
