Weekend In Logan

This past weekend we went to Logan for mother's day and to paint my parent's playroom.  It was such a great weekend to relax with my family and help out my parents.  Ever since my parents heard that Andrew could draw they decided he was going to be the one to paint their playroom.  They want it to be like a "king"dom since their last name is King.  So Andrew drew up the plans then headed to the store and we started working....

DAY ONE:

Taping everything off.  This area is right where you climb up a ladder.  It is suppose to look like a village.

First coat of paint.

This is the hallway that is going to be a forest.

Another view of the village and the forest.

DAY TWO:

Here is the first part of the forest...a big tree.  Andrew drew and I filled in the lines with paint.  That is about as artistic as I get. :)

The roof done.

Andrew drew these flowers free hand....he is crazy good.

The finished product of day two.

A second tree for the forest.

It was also a great mother's day.  I'm so lucky to have my mom in my life.  She has helped me in so many ways and I'm so grateful for her.  She gives great advice and doesn't care what time of day it is that I call her for cooking questions...haha.

I'm also so grateful for my mother-in-law.  She is such a great lady and I can't wait to learn so many new things from her.

I love mother's day and can't wait for them in the future!! :)

Update once again

Here is the latest update in our lives.  I have made myself promise that I will be better at blogging instead of just coming on once in awhile and doing an update.  This will be a lot easier since I decided to not go spring and just focus on my internship and work.  I'm really excited to have my summer start and to check some things off my to-do list! Enjoy the update....

Andrew found this cereal in the store and was really excited.  Normally Andrew does not get excited about cereal, so I was a little worried.  He told me they have a cereal just like this in Germany that he LOVED.  Needless to say he ate the whole box in about two days.

Andrew has wanted new golf clubs since watching The Masters this year.  Thanks to my dad, Andrew now has his new golf clubs.  My dad wanted new golf clubs so he is letting Andrew earn his old ones by painting the playroom that my parent's have at there house. Andrew has loved them and goes across the street to the local park to hit  balls pretty much every day. So if anyone wants to go golfing...Andrew would love to go with you.

Two weekends ago it was the King Family Girl's Trip to St. George.  It was a nice relaxing weekend hanging out around my parent's house with all of my nieces.  The best part was that we went to see Martina McBride at Tuacahn.  It was a great concert and she came out for two encores at the end.

We had a fun little pizza night one night.  It was my first attempt to cook anything bread related from scratch...it turned out pretty good.

We had a fun married date night with our cousin's Jessica and Travis.  We made boats out of Little Ceaser's pizza boxes and then floated them down the stream south of campus.  We then learned that Travis had never seen Father of the Bride so we had to watch that.  It was fun to watch because Andrew and I had just gone to Hale Centre Theater to see the play Father of the Bride..which was quite funny as well.
