This past weekend was Andrew's birthday. He turned the big 25! He started his birthday by going to the Scotty McCreery concert at NC State with his brother Seth. He said it was one of the best concerts he has ever been to. They also came home with Insomnia cookies which has become one of our favorite places in NC. Andrew actually picked out every single one of his gifts. He knew exactly what he wanted so I had him head to the store and get it. Luckily, he did have one surprise gift from Seth. Just from the pictures you can tell his excitement and love for Nike.
I'm so grateful for Andrew and that he is part of my life. He really is one of a kind and I'm so glad that he gets to be mine. :) Love you Andrew!
I realized we didn't have candles so we had to improvise.

THREE YEARS!
August 12th was our three year anniversary. All day we just kept looking at each other and couldn't believe we had been married for three years!! We celebrated by walking around the mall, going to lunch, and eating some cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. It was nice that Andrew was on his summer break from school so he had the day off. We really just hung out at home with each other for most of the day and it was the best.
Visit From My Mom
About a month ago my mom came to visit us! It was so exciting to have our first visitor from out of state. She came at the perfect time because it was right in the middle of all of Andrew's finals. When Andrew would be studying I had a buddy to do things with. We took advantage of every minute of every day that she was here. We went to a movie, a baseball game, explored downtown Raleigh, and lots of shopping. She also helped me finish up our apartment. If you don't already know my mom is the queen of organizing. She came right in and organized my kitchen and closet perfectly. It was the best!
We couldn't survive in NC without our trusty GPS. Thanks Dad!!
We had BBQ one night and they gave us a TON of hush puppies!!

Andrew Makes Me Laugh
Andrew makes me laugh MULTIPLE times a day. I just had to share this video with you. We just pulled into the gas station to fill up gas and one of my favorite songs was playing. So Andrew being Andrew just decided to start dancing to the music not caring about all the people watching him.
It is hard to hear the music because it was outside the car and I was laughing really hard.

Andrew's First Day of School
Andrew's first day of school was June 24. For those who don't know, he is going to NC State University to get his Masters Degree in Analytics. It is an intense one year program. I know I'm WAY late posting this because he is already 1/3 of the way done with his program and just started fall classes last week. He has LOVED this program so much. It is better than he thought it was ever going to be and he learns so many things every day. Imagine taking a normal semester class and squishing it into 5 weeks. So lets just say he is a very busy guy!! We're excited to see what the fall brings.
We explored the library a little bit. It is a very cool library full of crazy furniture and technology.

Germany wins the World Cup!
I know I'm way behind on the blog but I still like to document big events in our life...even if it is 2 months late. So....on July 13th we watched Germany win the world cup!! It made it even more fun to have Andrew's brother Seth with us. I've never heard two grown men scream so loud in my life when Germany finally scored. To celebrate Andrew had to have a big glass of Root Beer! All I have to say is that he was one happy boy.

Besides watching the game we also went and tried out the disc golf course on campus.

4th of July
We had a pretty chill fourth of July this year. It was the first time we've ever had to make plans for the fourth because we didn't have some big family BBQ to go to or a reunion. So our day started out at our ward breakfast. It was nice to get to know some more people from our ward. Then we had our cousins Travis & Jessica come over for the Germany vs. France soccer game and homemade J-Dawgs. Then we headed to Chapel Hill to crash their ward dinner and watch fireworks. Like I said.....it was a very chill fourth but still super fun all the same.
