Well it has been about 5 months since I have updated the blog. Our lives have been SOO busy but we love every minute of it. Instead of going into a lot of detail about what has happened, I thought I would do it in list form to make things easier! So here we go.....
-We both finished Winter Semester really strong! We were both really excited for school to be out for the summer.
-I went to school during Spring Term for the first time because I only had to take 2 more classes to graduate!!! I survived and I'm ready to walk in August. I still can't believe that I'm done with school after 15 years of only ever going to school. Right now I'm looking for a job pretty much anywhere. It would be nice to work in an advisement center somewhere...but we'll see.
-Before Spring Term started we went to Boston to visit Andrew's sister Claire and her cute family. We were there for 8 days. We went over Claire and her husband Michael's anniversary so we could watch their kids so they could get away for the weekend. It was so much fun to play parents for 48 hours to three kids all under the age of 5. We learned a lot and even more importantly we had fun doing it. It was fun to explore Boston without it being super hot outside except we went about 2-3 weeks after the Boston Bombings so everyone was still a little on edge. We went to Louisa May Alcott's house (she wrote Little Women), we went to the beach, a Red Sox Game, got some German recipes from a German member in their ward, the science museum, and explored downtown/did part of the freedom trail. We love Boston and would not mind living there someday...so we'll see.
-Andrew still works at the MTC but has the early morning shift. He gets to wake up at 5:30 every morning to be at work by 6. He recently just got an internship in Salt Lake working for his cousin at Marcus & Millichap. He will be doing Commercial Real Estate stuff specifically working with family housing. We're so grateful for such a big extended family who can help us connect with the right people!! He also is studying to take the GRE at the end of the summer.
-My brother Cameron got engaged and we helped set up and watched the whole thing. We're really excited to add Rebecca to our family. Andrew is excited to not be the newbie in the family anymore.
-All of our cousins who all got married within a year of us all have babies now or are pregnant. We love getting to hold all their cute babies. One of them is our newest and our second nephew named Noah. He is pretty cute and has a head FULL of hair!
-We had a fun family reunion with the Bangerter family up at my family's cabin in Bear Lake. We hiked, ate, went to the beach, and had a lot of fun. We also took family pictures because every single member of the family was there and it won't be like that for probably another two years.
-For the 4th of July we went to Logan. I was so excited to do the 4th of July in Logan because we haven't since we've been married. I hyped up the Cruise In, a old car parade, to Andrew because I remember it being so cool. It was still a lot of fun, but Andrew was a good sport and kept saying how much fun and cool it was..haha.
-We had a fun Garlick Cousin Campout before our cousins Jessica and Travis moved to North Carolina. It was an epic night filled with a scary dog, smores, tin foil dinners, killer uno, and a wonderful breakfast in the morning thanks to Andrew's brother Adam and his wife Lindsey. A moose also walked through our camp in the morning.
-Andrew's brother Seth got home from the same mission Andrew and his sister Lauren served in, Berlin Germany. It has been fun having him home and getting him caught up on everything that has happened since he left.
-I got to do a little dance camp for all my Bangerter Nieces. It was just a simple two day camp where I just taught them some basics of dance and cheerleading. It was fun to go down memory lane of when I taught all the girls in my neighborhood dance or as we liked to call it Dance Fever.
-I guess another big thing is that we moved in April. We were really excited to move into the condo my parent's own because it is a 3 bedroom condo instead of a 1 bedroom apartment. We're not quite sure what to do with all the room we have. Sometimes we play board games in one room and then go and sit in the other room and talk so we fill like we are using up the space. I will say it is really nice to have two extra rooms to throw stuff in instead of it all being in the family room. Even though we were really excited to move to a bigger place we were both super sad to leave our ward. We loved our ward and our callings. We had made such good friends and had so much fun. Thank goodness for Facebook so we can stay connected to everyone.
-In our new ward we got called to be Ward Missionaries and we're excited for what this calling is going to teach us. Our ward that we moved into has many non-members or inactive members...yes we live in Provo and probably live in the most inactive place there is in Provo. It is a very different dynamic but we know we're suppose to be in this ward to help it to continue to grow and to share the gospel with all those around us.
These are the big highlights of our summer so far!! I promise I will be better about updating the blog. I don't have school anymore...so I have TIME! Also, our internet is being weird so I can't upload pictures..but I will later.
