Porto Seguro is the point of discovery of Brazil.
The marker that the Portuguese navigators placed.
After spending the afternoon walking around...we hopped on a ferry boat to go to Trancoso.
Fresh corn on the side of the road.
San Juan was happening the week we were there so they had these cool flags lining every street.
We found a church where we could do some fun poses with the light.
The first of many Brazilian Lemonade. Funny story about this dinner...we were eating and then we noticed that Michael Buble's Christmas album was playing in English. We think they liked to play it because they knew it was in English but didn't know it was Christmas music.
We then drove down this long dirt road and over some tiny bridges to get to this awesome hideaway. It is these two houses that overlook a river that feds into the ocean.
One of the only golf courses in Brazil is found in Trancoso. Andrew had looked it up before our trip and Andrew's dad treated him to a round of golf. The girls were good drivers!
This hole you had to hit the ball to the the other cliff behind Andrew. They both made it.
The view was breathtaking!
Nothing like eating lunch on the beach
In order to get to the beach you had to kayak out on the river to where it feeds into the ocean. We had the beach all to ourselves. The boogie boarding was awesome!
This cute kid was fishing in the river. He showed us what he caught.
We then headed back to the city and enjoyed a dinner at McDonald's. It is big deal to eat at McDonald's in Brazil.
I found my hot chocolate for breakfast.
This is a cool tapioca crepe. This is native to Bahia Brazil. You use tapicoa flour and then can put different things inside of it. I can't explain it very well but it was cool how they made it.We enjoyed being apart of a zone conference. It was a long day but very uplifting and fun to talk to the missionaries. Most of all it was fun seeing Andrew's parents in action!
We were spoiled our whole trip with fun treats! Who wouldn't want ice cream in a pineapple! :)
On our way out of town we stopped at a museum explaining the discovery of Brazil.
