After Porto Seguro we got in our car and drove for 6 hours to a city called Ilheus. Our drive was on mostly dirt roads through small little towns. We even stopped at a gas station to have lunch. They had a whole buffet of food for all the workers around town to enjoy.
This was a cute chapel that we passed on our drive.
To get to this view we had to drive up a really steep road that was one way. You just had to hope that no one was coming down it. There was a cliff on one side and houses on the other.
We stayed at this fun resort on the beach. The guy who worked at the front desk was super nice and could speak English. Andrew's parents tend to stay at the same hotels when visiting the different areas of their mission. Sometimes the people who work at the hotels call him President and they really respect that he is a great leader in his church.

Andrew and his dad went for a morning run and frisbee on the beach. They took some great pictures. Brazil is BEAUTIFUL!
Andrew's parents said we didn't have to go to this whole zone conference and could hang out by the pool all morning. We met up with them for lunch!
This airport was so tiny and had a river on oneside with the ocean on the other. In order to take off you had to drive to the back of the runway by the rive and then you took off basically into the ocean. Andrew did a little time lapse video to show it!
